Lifeline is a government sponsored program that provides a free phone and 250 minutes per month for individuals that receive any public assistance program such as Food Stamps, Medicaid/Tenncare, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), National Free School Lunch, or Federal Housing/Section 8 Assistance.
