Provides services for homeless people including access to refreshments and restrooms, a temporary mailing address, locker storage, computer use, use of telephone to make local and long-distance calls, with job counseling, crisis management counseling and referrals to supportive services such as emergency housing and mental health resources. Also assists in obtaining birth certificates and state IDs and provides travel assistance for homeless persons and a free monthly legal clinic. Staffed by volunteers from area churches; sponsored by Downtown Churches Association.

Legal clinic is the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm through HELP (Homeless Experience Legal Protection), a volunteer program that provides legal help for homeless people. Memphis volunteers are coordinated by Baker, Donelson, Caldwell & Berkowitz law firm with Memphis Area Legal Services and the Community Legal Center.

Guests must first go through an intake interview on Mon, Wed or Fri 9:30 pm - 1:00 pm before receiving most HUB services. Guests can use HUB services for up to three months. The HUB is not a drop-in center, a day shelter or place to hang out, but a place for homeless persons to take care of business that will lead them out of homelessness.

Provides half the price of a long-distance one-way Greyhound bus ticket for homeless guests of the center who can document that they have employment and a more stable living arrangement in another city. Funds are limited and each case is reviewed individually.
