Provides extended shelter for single men, single women, and families who are homeless. Participants must indicate a willingness to participate in developing a case plan which has as a goal of eventual independent living. The single men "Bootstraps" program is open dormitory style with space for 18 men. The single women program consists of 8 single rooms and a community shower. The family program can provide housing for 13 families at one time. Families do not share living space with other families. There is not a wait list for single men, but there is a wait list for single women and families.

Shelter operations are 24 hours.

Intake Process:

Call for space availability. Appointment is needed to apply. No walk-ins can be accepted.

Single men and women must call to conduct a phone assessment. Family calls are transferred to the Coordinated Entry Screening (CES) process.

Program Fees:

No fee to apply. Occupancy fee is based on a sliding scale. Single men must pay a $25 deposit fee within the first 30 days. Single women and families must pay a $50 deposit fee within the first 30 days.

Single men, single women, and/or families who are homeless. Adults must have the ability to find full or part-time employment or devise a plan for self -sufficiency with SSI income. "Single" is defined as not having children and/or a romantic partner. A "family" consists of any couple, a couple with children, a single person with children, multi-generational families, or blood or non-blood relatives.
