Description:

Agency on aging provides senior case management that includes assistance in filling out applications and in applying for Medicaid, food stamps (SNAP), tax exemptions, and advice on home-delivered meals, energy assistance and weatherization programs, prescription drug assistance programs, Social Security benefits, and other senior assistance programs in a 12-county area of northeastern Arkansas. Provides information on light legal issues such as wills and powers of attorney; help with signing up for Medicare and open enrollment in the fall; a foster grandparent program; personal emergency response systems; homemaker services for basic upkeep and management of the household by providing assistance with activities such as menu planning, bill paying, running errands, essential shopping, and housework and information and referral on other senior issues. Provides personal care services to assist seniors in their homes with bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, shopping, and meal preparation.
