Provides an infant mortality initiative that reviews fetal and infant deaths that occur among Shelby County residents, interviews mothers and families that have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss, makes referrals for grief and bereavement services and provides SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) training and educational presentations related to infant mortality prevention. This agency provides free cribs to Shelby County residents (baby has to have been born already and must be less than 6 months old and weigh less than 20 pounds; please call for appointment; requires ID and proof of birth).
